Weddings at the Showgrounds
Many happy couples have had their wedding ceremony and reception at the Showgrounds. Our rustic hall is the perfect spot for your family and friends to join together to celebrate.

Please note, there is no wifi at the Hall.
Things to know about hiring the Hall.
Our capacity is 110 people.
There are to be no flames/candles/heat source/matches/vapes/smoke within the hall. Battery operated candles are allowed.
Cooking spits are to be located outside of the hall/kitchen.
Because our grounds are used on a daily basis for RDA and other community events, unfortunately we do not allow the digging of hangi pits.
Any damage to the grounds will result in your bond being retained.
Things the Hall cannot be hired for.
We do not hire the hall out for parties, twenty first parties, school balls or raves.
A wee tradition for newly married couples.
Over the years, it has become tradition for couples that have been married at the Hall to sign their names on the door in the middle of the Hall. We are unsure who started this several decades ago, but it’s a truly lovely reminder of the happy times that happen here!
